Meet the Family Farm Behind Our Wheat

We wanted to introduce you to our farmer, Gonzales Siemens Family Farms, so you can know exactly where your wheat is coming from and feel confident about what you’re bringing into your home.

Here at Kern River Milling, we do our very best to be as transparent as possible because we truly want you to feel like you can trust us as a real and reliable source for wheat berries and fresh-milled flour. Knowing where your food comes from matters, and we believe you deserve that connection from the field all the way to your kitchen.

Gonzales Siemens Family Farms is a Regenerative Organic Certified™ farmstead located in California’s San Joaquin Valley. Their story began back in 1890, when Peter Farntz and Gerhardt Siemens journeyed from Ukraine during the Mennonite diaspora. They brought with them a deep respect for the land and a belief that good food begins with healthy soil. That commitment to stewardship and quality has continued through generations, and it’s one of the reasons we feel so proud to source from them.

At Kern River Milling, we’re proud to bring you wheat directly from our farmer that is Non-GMO and glyphosate-free. The quality of the wheat we bring to our family’s table matters deeply to us, and because it matters to us, we want you to feel confident knowing we’re committed to bringing that same quality to you and your family as well.

Whether you’re baking bread from fresh-milled flour, stocking your pantry with wheat berries to mill at home, or simply learning more about where your food comes from, we’re so thankful you’re here and supporting our small family business.

As always, if you ever have questions about our wheat, growing practices, milling, or anything else, please don’t hesitate to reach out through the contact page on our website. We’re always happy to connect with you. And if you’re ready to stock up on fresh-milled flour or wheat berries, you can place an order anytime on our website.

Thank you for supporting our family and for letting Kern River Milling be part of your kitchen.
