Cream together butter, brown sugar, and sugar. Then add eggs and vanilla. Beat well. This is your wet mix.
In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add wet mix 1 cup at a time, then add chocolate chips.
Next, roll dough into approx. 2 Tbsp balls and freeze for 1 hour. You don't have to bake all your cookies in one go, I like to only bake what we are going to eat so we always have cookie dough ready to go! You can store cookie dough for about 3 months.
When you are ready to bake, preheat oven to 375. Bake for 12 to 14 minutes until edges lightly browned.
Let cool on baking sheet for 10 minutes then transfer to cooling rack to cool completely.
